At high-level meeting of General Assembly, INCB President urges concrete action to ensure prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases

Speaking at the General Assembly High-level meeting on the Review of the Progress Achieved in the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, held from 10 - 11 July, the INCB President, Dr. Lochan Naidoo, urged Governments to take concrete action to ensure access to services for the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases, including drug abuse.  Dr. Naidoo noted the Board's commitment to continue working with Governments to improve access to the essential medicines required for the treatment of pain and mental and neurological disorders.
