Presenting INCB reports to Economic and Social Council, INCB President recalls the humanitarian goals of the international drug control conventions
As mandated by the drug control treaties, Dr. Naidoo presented the INCB Annual Report for 2013 and the INCB Annual Report on Precursor Chemicals to the Economic and Social Council Coordination and Management Meeting on 15 July. Attention was drawn in particular to the thematic chapter of the annual report on the economic consequences of drug abuse, and the savings to society that can be generated by investment in drug abuse prevention, treatment and rehabilitation services and programmes.
